Expertise
The design and fabrication technology for this critical infrastructure requires civil, structural and mechanical engineering expertise. TorcSill’s technical support staff works closely with its utility customers and their partners throughout the development and execution of each of its projects.
Exercising its strategic footprint, company-owned equipment and unrivaled experience in all terrain and weather conditions, TorcSill’s Construction Services installs its in-house designed and manufactured helical piling foundations and components, producing no spoils, no vibrations and minimal environmental impact when compared to traditional excavated and percussion-installed foundation methods.
case studies:
Work in Action
Lattice Tower
With incredibly tight clearance between existing underground pipelines and the property boundary, lattice tower foundation construction seemed very difficult. TorcSill designed and installed a helical pile and an all-steel connection detail to allow for ease of installation around buried pipes and without requiring additional property easement.
Substation Dead End
TorcSill provided a foundation solution that bypassed the existing pier, utilizing steel frames connected to multiple helical piles. After the original pier reinforcement design proved unfeasible due to failed concrete, TorcSill provided a foundation solution that bypassed the existing pier, utilizing steel frames connected to multiple helical piles.
